## Does Maryland Allow Series LLCs?

Maryland does not currently have a Series LLC statute. You cannot form a Series LLC directly in Maryland.

Business owners with a Maryland base who want Series LLC-like liability separation typically consider two options: (1) forming a Series LLC in a state that authorizes them — most commonly Wyoming, Delaware, or Texas — and then registering as a foreign LLC in Maryland; or (2) forming separate standard LLCs for each asset or venture in Maryland, which achieves liability separation at a higher per-entity filing cost.
