## Does Ohio Allow Series LLCs?

Ohio does not currently have a Series LLC statute. You cannot form a Series LLC directly in Ohio.

Business owners with a Ohio base who want Series LLC-like liability separation typically consider two options: (1) forming a Series LLC in a state that authorizes them — most commonly Wyoming, Delaware, or Texas — and then registering as a foreign LLC in Ohio; or (2) forming separate standard LLCs for each asset or venture in Ohio, which achieves liability separation at a higher per-entity filing cost.
